Hi! Thanks for stopping by!
My name is Katie (she/they), and I am an NYC and NJ-based multi-hyphenate performer and creative originally from Millburn, New Jersey. I started dancing when my parents put me in a tutu and signed me up for a pre-k ballet class as soon as I learned to walk, and I haven’t stopped dancing since! Along the way, I found my second home at Front & Center for Performing Arts in Springfield, NJ, and there I discovered my passion for singing and acting in addition to dance. I then went on to pursue higher education at the Molloy/CAP21 Conservatory in New York City where I earned a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre last spring!
During my time at CAP21, in addition to training in onstage performance, I also developed a passion in working behind the curtain. Whether it be choreography, dance captaining, or helping people create their reels, resumés, and music tracks, I love it all! I believe that having experience in multiple aspects of the performance world, besides being on stage, have increased my need to pursue this career and make me a better creative.
In my free time, you’ll probably find me listening to Taylor Swift, defending Cats the musical, making and eating popcorn, adding songs to my e flat playlist (where every song is in the key of e flat), or spending time with my two cats, Amber and Landon!
Inspire exuberant joy.
As an artist, my mission is to ensure that everyone feels like they belong in a society that can often show us otherwise. Growing up queer and neurodivergent, I am passionate about making sure marginalized voices are heard and that every single person who walks into any room feels loved and supported. Musical Theatre and the arts are what fill me with joy, give me a voice, and boost my confidence. Therefore, I feel it is my duty as an artist to return the favor. I strive to be the person younger me would have only dreamed of being when I grew up. Especially as a teacher and mentor for younger artists, I live to encourage a space where others can express themselves freely and safely, just as my past peers and mentors have inspired me to do the same.
